Tax included. Renews monthly until cancelled. Up to 2 GiB per cloud file and 10,000 files per account. Cancelling pauses new uploads after your paid period; existing files remain downloadable. App updates preserve your account, subscription and encrypted files. Downloads above 256 MiB need direct file saving in a supported browser such as desktop Chrome or Edge. Cloud GB/TB are decimal units and include encryption overhead.

A simple way to keep a copy private

Pack. Protect. Take it with you.

01 / SELECT

Gather what matters

Drop in files from your device. Your original files stay untouched; names and contents go inside the encrypted package.

02 / PROTECT

Keep the key yourself

Use a long passphrase or the built-in random password generator. Save it safely — there is no password reset.

03 / OPEN ANYWHERE

Carry one portable file

Save the .avault package. Open it with the online or offline browser app, then save only the files you need.

Windows & Linux

Your cloud vault, on your desktop.

Install Andromeda Vault on your computer and choose a folder to keep in sync with your encrypted cloud account. Sign in with the same account you use on the website, or upload and download individual files.

One account, your files everywhere

Windows installer, Linux AppImage and Debian / Ubuntu package. Available installers and release checksums appear on the download page once published.

Automatically sync new and changed files while the app is open and unlocked. Conflicts are preserved; deletions do not automatically remove other copies. Local folder copies are decrypted. Cloud storage and retained versions use your existing plan.

A useful tool, without a monthly bill

Vault Browser Edition

Local encryption, encrypted filenames, automatic locking and portable packages. All included.

Free

For personal and professional use.

Runs in a current desktop browser on Windows, macOS or Linux. This free download is a self-contained HTML app for local .avault packages. For cloud uploads from installed software, see the Windows and Linux desktop app above.

Up to 100 files and 64 MiB per package. Local packages work without an account or cloud subscription.

Before you encrypt

Know what Vault protects.

Do my files or passwords leave my device?

The free offline app processes files locally without uploads. Cloud Vault encrypts file contents and filenames in your browser before uploading ciphertext. Your vault password and decrypted files are not sent to us. The cloud service stores your email, payment status, encrypted vault key, encrypted files, file sizes and timestamps. There are no third-party analytics in either app.

What encryption does it use?

AES-256-GCM authenticates and encrypts the files and their names. PBKDF2-SHA-256 derives the key with 600,000 iterations, a fresh random salt and a fresh encryption nonce. Cloud Vault uses a password-wrapped random master key and a separate random key per file. Its encrypted chunks authenticate file identity, order and total size. Use a strong password. This browser edition does not use ML-KEM or ML-DSA and has not undergone an independent security audit.

Can I recover a forgotten password?

No. Save your password in a trusted password manager, and test opening the encrypted package before relying on it. Keep a separate backup of important files.

What happens when I lock the vault?

Vault releases its decrypted files and download links. It locks when you switch tabs by default, and after your chosen inactivity timeout. JavaScript cannot guarantee erasure of every memory copy. Files you already saved or opened elsewhere stay outside Vault's control.

Will my preview packages still open?

Yes. Version 1.0 keeps the AVLT0001 package format used by the uploaded 0.1 browser preview. Use the same password, exactly as originally entered.
